Brilliant news. I've been running the beta for a while now. I know it has a couple of 'features' but great to see this one in the updater.

You need to "enroll" the IT-100 to the DSC like you would a keypad.

        DSC Security Status

Trying to get my DSC plug in working correctly. The IT 100 is installed and looks to be working properly. But I don't see to be communicating with the panel; however I have no errors in the log. All of my DSC devices say status "uknown"? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

if you see unkown, it is not communicating.

turn on debug for the plugin on tje confg section of the plugins setup section. then check the logs.

next delete all of the dsc devices and have the plugin readd them. also, make surethe green led on the it100 is green flashng.

I'm having a hard time configuring my DSC plug-in. I have a DSC 1832 with IT100 installed. The IT100 has a flashing green LED, which from other posts tells me that it's communicating with the 1832 properly. I have the unit connected using an IP to Serial converter and it's listed as Com1. When I start Homeseer, the plug-in appears to initialize properly, but I don't see to get any response from the unit. Here's the relevant items from the debug log....can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Looks like it is not communicating with the panel (even though it has opened the COM port).

Double check you are using the correct COM port and then check that the Baud rate is correct. I think the default is 9600.

                Disarm error

                Hi Guys,

I use an IT-100 with the DSC PC1808 panel. Arming is working fine and everything else so far except disarm. I get this error all the time:

2011/09/02 04:58:56 PM DSC DEBUG Processing command: Command_Error->501962011/09/02 04:58:56 PM DSC Security Command Error

                Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the issue, but have you checked in the setup that you have user codes and DSC pin codes set up to match the HS user that is attempting the disarm?

                    DSC Plugin Potential Issue

I have just started testing this plugin in my configuration. I just installed a DSC PC1832 system with 16 wired zones and a IT-100 interface board. Configuring the Plugin was very simple and after a couple false starts on the Comm Port on the PC communications was established with the 1832 system. I see all the status changed in the HS Log and everything looks OK.

I have tried to build some events based on the triggers that are included in the plugin.

Partition Armed and Zone Opened have worked without issue, however Partition Disarmed appears to not trigger an event. I see the status change in the HS log but the event does not kick off. I have tried to delete and rebuild the event still no trigger. I have pasted a a snap shot of my screen of DSC Security events for reference. (FYI I have X'ed out personal info in the messages.)

Any ideas on why this is not working?

Post the HS log of the disarm on board. That may give a clue to why the event doesn't trigger.

One other thing you could try is trigger the disarm based on ANY partition rather than limit yourself to partition 1. Just for testing at least.

Thanks for the reply. Here are the logs from what I have tried this afternoon.

FYI in my eariler post I had copied the events to another group so that I could mask my personal info. Thats the reason when you see the event name in these logs they do not have the (1) at the end of them.

This time when it armed it missed the trigger but when it disarmed the trigger was caught. I have not changed to any partition on these tries

So now it looks like my problem has flip flop. Either way it is not picking up on both events.

                        Ideas?????

Any ideas on what might be causing this behavior yet?

Nope, that does look very strange! Did you try to set it up to respond to "any zone"? Not sure it would make a difference, it's just that this is what I have set up and it works for me.

It's very weird. Almost sound like something that is not related to the plug-in but caused by something else - not that I can think of anything in particular :-(

Yes I tried setting it to any partition on the arm and disarm commands. (

Very odd. One more trouble shooting tip you could try is to insert an additional action in each of the events. If you inserted a scripting call to write a message to the log you could trap to see whether the event was executed at least?

Although this is perhaps a little redundant as the log should at least show the calling of the event.

You might need to stick in a help desk ticket to HS
