oh and truck broke where it is.. not sure how this happened or why... firewall is almost touching the dizzy but all cab bolts are tight (verified) so didn't know this was the issue..

    5h to get out..
humiliation - pulled out by 2 huge ford diesels and 1 large big block ford
I had the part on hand but didn't know that was the issue...
so got pulled home by the big block ford (friend)

so insult sprinkled on the humiliation...

Bummer! Those Fords pulling your out and home had to hurt Was the distributor cap damaged to cause this damage to the rotor?

no that is the weird part...

I got stuck.. rolled window down and told bud to pull me out.. he laughed and said... NOPE YOU DIDNT TRY YET...

so back in gear I went.. forward and reverse sending mud 20' in the air.. totally submerging my truck and sinking to the axles... in front of drivers side is about 4.5 feet as the axle is hung up and the mud is deeper... I turned the truck off... rolled window down and asked if that was good enough...
he then said.. yup yer stuck.. lets get you out of there...

I go to crank it over and it wouldn't start...

but I found out later that a truck on 54's.. YES 54's!!!! buried himself there so if I would of gone any farther I woulda lost the entire front of my truck and most likely ruining my motor!!!!!

but getting back to what you asked.. nope... cap was still on just fine and I didn't think of checking that. I carry a spare cap/rotor/coil/plugs/wires so I coulda been pulled out, replaced rotor.... few donuts and drive home... hah

it could only be one of 2 things...
          1. I (like a dummy) shut the truck off.. I knew my exhaust was out of the water; however, I totally forgot the exhaust isn't a single piece thus water actually filled the drivers side pipe and creating back pressure not allowing the truck to start.... that wouldn't hurt this though...
          2. hit hole... cab moved forward a smidge (as firewall is touching it) and pushed cap a bit and rotor go bang, bang, bang as it went around and wasn't fully broke yet... then after shutoff it broke the rest of the way...

this weekend I'm planning on taking the cap off and looking... to see if it has rub marks...

I'm ticked as I don't like being stuck. my thing is, I should be able to get out no matter what...
so I have started my planning...

I own a hi-lift jack but didn't have it on me.. but I will be mounting it to the truck in a few weeks after my algebra exam next thurs then vacation...

I have also bought one of these...
          http://www.hi-lift.com/accessories/lift-mate.html

then I am planning on taking 5 2x12's that are 4' in length and mounting them in the truck....

so future.. I can jack myself up and put the boards under it so even if dead.. when someone is pulling me... I'm not suction cupped in this peanut butter mud.... hah...

oh and in addition I will be buying 2 things in march (bonus time)

                            nope... well kinda...

I have my last week of Algebra in school.. 4 nights... final on Thurs...

truck is running but not cleaned inside.. hah..

so it is ready to go play if it was called upon to go and get soupy..

I also ordered up some new toys to help on getting me out next time..

another hi lift - but the extreme model this time...
also bought the hi lift offroad kit - 2 chain kits, gloves, etc...

to just start my preppin on self recovery rig.

I am on vaca from Aug4 - Aug 14, then that weekend I take the light bar out (it isn't a true rollbar)... and will be making a spare tire mount as I have a fullsize 40" ground hawg rolling around the bed... then going to figure out where to mount both hi lift jacks.
going to local steel shop (love this place) and in their military surplus room they have tons of the ammo cans in various sizes. Going to get some of them and mount them in the truck to hold everything down and are waterproof (I think that is important for me)

                            so more to come...
