Is there a plugin for "wifi" devices like the iHome Smartplug?

I cannot seem to find any mention of the iHome Smartplug devices in the forums. Is there a plugin to control them?

Not seen one for this particular device, I think a WeMo plugin was suggested but not sure if that stalled (possibly a script workaround?). The issue with these WiFi units is that there are literally hundreds of them out there with I don't think any real leader for a developer to think that this is the one for them. For this device a quick search suggests that there is an API but unless a developer potentially buys the units and also is interested in making a plugin you are a bit stuck...

I've created a plugin for myself that currently works for tplink SmartPlug and SmartBulb (including color). I would say I am 2 weeks away from being done. I will make it available for free if anyone is interested. Of course, the first release will be very much beta.
What it does right now
1. Discover devices (not 100% consistent)
2. On/off for plug and bulbs
3. Change colors for the color bulb via the device config
4. Poll for changes done outside of HS using Kasa (currently at 1 minute)

I am working on (in priority)
1. Actions to turn on/off plug led light
2. Actions to allow color change via an event
3. Better Discover of new devices.
4. Support for SmartSwitch

If anyone is interested let me know via a post to this thread.

I'm TOTALLY interested in your TP-Link plugin!!!

I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do with those plugs, either have a Home Assistant Pi running and use virtual switches/events between the two or what.

I'm also still trying to figure out how to manage some of my zigbee stuff that's not supported yet... hmm...

Back to topic... yes I'd love to try out the tp-link plugin
