Adding And Importing Units To HS From Omni

I added a Simply Automated light switch in the kitchen (a US2-40 with a rocker and 4 buttons). I configured it in upstart and added it to the Omni via PC access. I named the device Kitchen Main both in upstart and PC access.

The problem is that it is not showing up as a unit in the Omni plugin in Homeseer (I have a Zee S2). How can I make it show up? I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin.

I tried adding the unit in Homeseer manually using the same unit name however the configuration tab asks for a code and I don't know what it is so of course Homeseer can't control the unit. In Omni the unit is B22. All the UPB devices are B something in Omni but are q something in Homeseer because they are not directly controlled by the Homeseer but by the Homeseer sending a command to the Omni. I need to get the plugin to import the unit with the appropriate code.

    Please help.

While the device is seen in Upstart it will need to be a single unit number in PCAcess / OmniPro panel.

Just match the Upstart Unit number to a defined OmniPanel Unit number and in the plugin enable the Unit number to see it as a Homeseer Variable. Note too that UPB units are in groups of 16 and the new unit number has to match the PCA unit number under a group of 16 UPB switches.

You can assign buttons in PCA to control the links from the device.

BTW the OmniPlugin sees whatever you have configured with PCA. You just go to the Units section and enable to Unit to see the Homeseer 3 variable.

Thanks. I think the problem was that I had two devices with the same name (although they had different descriptions in PC Access). Changing the name seems to have done the trick.
