Audio Not Playing over the Phone

Here is a sample of my log. The phone picks up, but nothing is heard. I assume it has something to do with the Audio Device within Way2Call?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
    Jim

In Windows (Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Sound - Playback tab), do you have the Hi-Phone set as the default communications device, and your speakers as the default device? I'm still concerned that you have that error: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3\messages\2015-08-10_10-14-08.wav'.

That's interesting, because I don't see it there. I have in the past - I reinstalled the driver and still don't see the audio device in Control Panel.

Shut down Homeseer 3. Unplug your W2C box. Plug it back in. Run the diagnostics programs for the W2C box. Everything for the W2C box is 32 bit.

If you cannot do any diagnostics with the W2C program then something is amiss with your drivers.

I have had issues with W7 USB 3.0 drivers messing with USB 2.0 drivers (well shutting them all down).

64bit and 32bit sound stuff do not always mix well.

Try installing the W2C drivers from scratch again, then look to see if you have another sound device.

Look first for the hardware without Homeseer running.

I too had a problem with no audio being played over the phone. Scratched my head for 2 days. Found the problem to be way2call does not work correctly on USB3.0. Everything but audio seems to work on USB3.0. Switch to USB2.0 all seems to working now. Just a note to other having this problem.

I am having an issue with HSPhone on Windows 10. The device picks up the call and greets the caller as expected. However, for the beep, no sound is heard:

Playing wave file over the phone: C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3\phonewaves\beep.wav

I have speakers set as per the recommendation above. However, on the Communications tab, there are no choices and just an icon of a telephone.

I can record and retrieve a message, even though I do not hear the beep. However, the caller will not know to record a message, without hearing the beep.

            Any thoughts?

            Thanks,
            Elliott

I have that problem too. My workaround is not pretty, but it works (and gives some a laugh). I have the text to speech say beep at the right time. I edited the IVR external.txt file to add the line "SPEAK:BEEEP"
Below is the section that I added it to. I left the line "PLAY:beep.wav" in.

Thanks for this suggestion. I now cannot get it to speak anything. I am trying to install the correct drivers for W2C. I think the problem relates, in part, to the fact that Win 10 has its own driver for the W2C USB device. I am trying to follow Pete's instructions:
                https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/ho...all#post107143.

So far, no luck getting the W2C drivers installed. Win 10 thinks I have the best driver (their driver) already installed for the device.
