About 2 years ago I bought a reconditioned RC-80 from SmartHome, but never had the opportunity to install it until today.
I mounted the baseplate using the R & W wires to my boiler. When I plug in the unit, the boiler comes on (its about 50 degrees here) but nothing is illuminated on the display. Using a multi-meter, my novice ability seems to think this is 20v, not 24v.
I assume that is the problem, but wanted to check with the experts because I cannot guarantee the unit is functional.
There is a second pair of wires that I tested out to also be 20v.
Any thoughts on how to get this working today?
