I have just submitted a new release of the HSVistaGadget plug-in to the updater. This version has the following enhancments and bug fixes:
- Now the plug-in checks that device status image files (when specified) exist. The image link will not be sent to the gadget if file is not found - this will stop broken image links in gadget when image file specified does not actually exist.
- Added \ prefix to image icon image path if it is not provided. This will fix some problems with missing device images in the gadget.
- Added more test options to the plug-in configuration web page to bring up the XML for all devices, all events, etc. This will aid diagnosing problems.
- Changed gadget to default to not showing the flyout for events.
- Changed gadget to default to auto-closing the flyout after an action.
- Modified error messages in the gadget to make them more useful for diagnosing problems.
- Added code numbers to gadget error messages to aid problem diagnosis.
- Improved security so guest users are completely blocked from accessing the plug-in.
- Now shows a warning message in the HomerSeer log if a client gadget needs updating to a newer version.
