    Any recommendation on door sensors?

I use a door sensor inside a plastic weather sealed enclosure at my sliding gate. I forget the brand now but it uses these huge coin cell batteries. But most importantly the batteries only last about 6 weeks before I have to replace them. Anyone have experience on door sensors with better battery life, it has to be the magnetic type.

You could also build a D.I.Y project using : https://shop.homeseer.com/products/h...stem-interface

Or the Arduino using : https://shop.homeseer.com/search?type=product&q=Arduinohttps://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...=wired+sensors

I have used the Aeotec Door/Window Sensor ZW112 extensively. It is magnetic type and has the Gen5 radio. The battery is rechargeable by USB and lasts for months, even outside in subzero weather.
