Error in Startup Log: Duplicate Device?

    Hello again,

I know what this means, but don't know how it happened or what to do about it:

9/13/2017 3:27:03 AM ~!~Insteon~!~Error loading Device 86 from insteon.ini file. It has a duplicate Insteon Address 11.AD.92 which is already registered to Device 61

    Please advise. Thanks.

Is device 86 The last device in the Insteon ini

If so backup the file and homeseer db . Then delete the section and reduce the [config] numdevices quantity by one

If not. I'll figure something else out.

No, it is not the last entry. (How do I attach an .ini file?)

Here are my insteon.ini and a csv inventory of my devices.

By the way, why do the ref IDs in the csv inventory (generated by a script I found here) not match the device numbers in insteon.ini? Which one is used for scripting?

          shutdown the plugin,
backup the ini, and delete the [device 86] section.
rename [device 87] to [device 86]
          change [config], numdevices=86
          save
          restart plugin

the [device xx] is just a sequential number so the plugin can find the 1st and subsequent devices. nothing to do with dev ref

excellent. it doesn't happen frequently, and the plugin checks to make sure you don't register an insteon id twice, but sometimes it happens.
