Multiple Rain8Nets on Multiple Serial Ports possible?

I have a client who "pre-ran" wiring for his Rain8s. His property is huge and his two sprinkler houses are on entirely different sides of his property.

He ran them to where each has its own serial connection on his edgeport/8. One area has 3 daisy chained and the other two.

Can this plugin support multiple rs-232 connected rain8s or do they ALL have to be jumped together through one serial port?

The Professional version supports multiple port connections. The design is targeted to large sites where the electical connection if geographially separated and something like a radio modem is used to span the distance. If the distance is spanned with a direct serial connection then that will work too. If the customer is in Lightning country then surge suppression should be added as well so the Rain8 Modules do not get fried. The latest Rain8Net design that has the counter/switch input has improved lightning protection, but may not yet be available through the distribution channels.
