I use the APC Powerchute software on all of my servers except this one. Naturally I am not using it here to take advantage of the BLUPS plugin. On the other servers I have them optimized using Powerchute to shutdown based on maximum runtime on battery.
As I am using the Windows options (XP) on my homeseer server I don't see a similar feature in the Windows configuration - it appears that I can only specify a time interval. This seems a little arbitrary as I may be setting it too low - not optimizing the battery or too long - not shutting down before the battery runs out!
First, am I missing something about the Windows setup - is there a run as long as possible option? Or, second, is there a way to achieve this through the BLUPS plugin - an event perhaps that sends a shutdown to the server? Thanks.
