    Bypass a door/window while armed

    Hi Spud,
I have been working on a new event that will bypass a window in our guest bedroom when we have a guest staying in our home. When I bypass the window and then set the alarm to arm stay everything works fine, however, when the alarm is set to arm stay and then I try to bypass a zone, the alarm changes from arm stay to arm away. I assume this is due to what is being sent to the panel in order to bypass a zone.

Is there any way to bypass a zone while in arm stay and keep the alarm set to arm stay?

I’m finding that in some scenarios it is not always possible to set the zone to bypass before the alarm is set to arm stay. I need to have Homeseer evaluate the conditions when the alarm has been set and then bypass a zone.

not a programming solution, but a mechanical one. you can install a 2nd magnet which allows the window to be armed when the window is partially opened.
