    Swapped IT100 for Envisalink but cannot send commands to device

    Hello, after having successfully used BLDSC for years along with an IT100, I have switched to an EVL4 so that I may finally get rid of my Serial to TCP bridge.

    While the EVL4 is successfully connecting (from what I can tell) and updating zones, a script that I used to run every night (Arm the panel in "Arm Stay - No Delay") now fails.

    The log shows the following:
    Code:
    7/10/2018 8:55:41 AM	Information	Home (1)	Ready
    7/10/2018 8:55:13 AM	Error System Error: Not Found (025)
    7/10/2018 8:55:12 AM	DSC Command Command: 'Code Send' sent to DSC system
    7/10/2018 8:55:12 AM	Information	 	Command Acknowledge: 032
    7/10/2018 8:55:12 AM	DSC Command Command: 'Partition - Arm With No Entry Delay' sent to DSC system
    Commands send and received:
    Code:
    Jul-10 8:56:55 AM	 	BLDSC Info	Message Rcvd --> 5020252E
    Jul-10 8:56:54 AM	 	BLDSC Info	Message Rcvd --> 51080FE
    Jul-10 8:56:54 AM	 	BLDSC Info	Message Sent --> 32 30 30 39 34 36 37 35 30 30 30 31 0D 0A --- Code Send
    Jul-10 8:56:54 AM	 	BLDSC Info	Message Rcvd --> 90099
    Jul-10 8:56:54 AM	 	BLDSC Info	Message Rcvd --> 5000322A
    Jul-10 8:56:54 AM	 	BLDSC Info	Message Sent --> 30 33 32 31 43 36 0D 0A --- Partition - Arm With No Entry Delay
    Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why this no longer works when it did with the IT100?

    Cheers,
    M

    Are you sure the EVL is connecting?
    Can you post the script?

    Better yet... do this:

    1. Disable the plugin
    2. Edit hspi_BLDSC.ini and change debugLevel=true
    3. Enable the plugin
    4. Once the plugin has been started for a minute or so, disable debug logging

    Attach the BLDSC-Detailed.log zipped as well as your hspi_BLDSC.ini file zipped

    NOTE
    Make sure you have done this first (for the change I made to debug logging)

      Hi Blade, I edited the BLDebug.ini file as per your other thread and enabled debug logging via the ini while the plugin was disabled.
      Upon restarting the plugin, there is no BLDSC-Detailed.log created, only the BLDSC-Activity.log.

      Regarding whether it's connecting, It is updating the zones that open and close and correctly shows armed vs disarmed states so I assume that it's working properly.

      I am not using a script, just an event which is attached.

      Thanks you for your help!

        There should have been a debug log
        Did you make the change to debugLevel=true in the hspi_BLDSC.ini file before starting the plugin
        Cheers,

          I did, yes and I just tried again:
          Code:
          debugLevel=true
          baudRate=9600
          dscInterface=EnvisaLink
          virtualKeypadControlEnabled=true
          logMessagesReceivedFromDSCToHomeseerLog=false
          logMessagesSentToDSCToHomeseerLog=false
          numberOfZones=13
          useImagesForDeviceStrings=false
          useZoneNamesForAssignedZoneList=true
          logFileEnabled=true
          ...
          I have a BLDSC-Activity.log and a TEMP_BLDSC-Activity.log only

            That is very odd
            There should be a BLDSC-Detailed.log file in your HS3 root folder
            Cheers,

                  I'll delete the log and start debug again, run the event, and email it over to you tomorrow.

                  Thanks!
