    cooper scene controllers

ok, I deleted my two controllers, to see if the updates would fix my problems
when I added/rescanned everything looks great
but when i try and set associations i get two different answers
one unit shows 1-5, 255 avail
    the other shows only 1

You never mess with associations on scene controllers. Only use the Settings on the Z-Wave tab of the device properties to configure the scene, and when the scene is programmed, associations will be set. Setting an association without setting a scene ID will not work.

            removed associations to groups 2,3,4,5
now both controllers are the same..
and both don't communicate w/ HS

i am now convinced that I am going crazy
everything seems to be right but
                  If I push scene on
                  it writes to log
                  but
                  it doesn't change the status and/or graphics ( see # 7 above )

DOES ANYONE HAVE TWO OF THESE WORKING ??

I have 10 buttons, 10 scenes, but missed something

One of the devices I found was modified to look like a security zone, which means the device string was probably set. When the device string is set, the status does not show as that overrides it.

Delete the CHILD (button) devices and rescan the parent/root so that it re-creates the child devices, then go into each child and confirm the scene by clicking "Save Scene" in the settings, and see if that gets it to work.

If it does, then you need to find out what keeps getting devices crossed in your system.
                      Regards,

got pissed and factory reset my entire system. Downloaded fresh HS from store. only loaded DSC,RCS, and Z-wave.. same problem

tonite I will take my laptop, delete software and re-install leaving DSC and RCS off.. we will see what that produces

Thanks for hanging in there with me.. we will find the bugger

                          still looking to be punished
set an event to monitor the button select scene on
and... log captured event start.. nothing happened....
