well after some playing around with this i have found something.
first of all the get setting "run time (sec)" is the correct one that once retrieved, the runtime is back to normal.

i scheduled the script for 12 AM but at 7am it was off again
tried it at 2 am and still was off at 7am.

i scheduled it for sunrise and it was working just fine

it seems that homeseer is doing something in its software (maybe a daily maintenance task) that is causing this shift.
just though you should know about this
maybe you could check the insteon.ini before and after and see if there are any changes in the following key for your micro device:
EEValues=Runtime=64800,OpFlags1=0,OpFlags6=0 (this is just an example from mine)

that still doesn't make a lot of sense because i only save the setting here, but the device uses its internal value which can't possible change based on anything hs is doing.

i think this must be a firmware issue

      i will compare the values.
but again the settings on the device hasnt changed but only how homeseer sees it.

if the device has a runtime of 16 sec and it is all set just as i would like it to run
if HS has a maintenance task at 3 am for example (again only my thoughts), and that change the runtime to 8 secs, when i pull the info again from the device HS will set it again to 16 sec and it is back in sync.

but nothing actually changes the runtime on the device itself and even when its not in sync, the correct runtime is displayed in the device settings.

this is a weird situation but it may indicate of a deeper issue

        Hey Mark
after a while with this issue i have created a timer to read the device settings every 30-60 minutes.

if i read the settings, everything is working perfect but after 1-2 hours its all messed up again.
could it be that homeseer is loosing the settings?
i even tried to remove and re-add them but no change

            Hi
Is there any news on this?
could this be an issue in the homeseer?

if i set the shades to 80% and someone changes it in the hardware switch.
could it be that homeseer doesnt know the % have changed?

              nothing back from SH yet.

HS has nothing to do with this.

                2. a hs log msg like the following when the device is fully open
                Received STX 0x51 (Raw Insteon Rec):2B 2D F3 2F F8 FB 11 2E 00 01 01 05 75 30 DE 65 00 00 00 00 00 00 02
                3. a similar log msg when the device is fully closed

                          hey Mark
                          has anything changed on this?

as you remember i need to read the open/close modules runtime to get it to sync.
i also noticed that it doesnt remember quite the runtime seconds.

if i am at 60% open and i want to go to 20%, it will actually close the shades completely, but if i close it all the way, wait 5 seconds and open it to 20% it will be just fine.

could it be it homeseer / insteon plugin doesnt know what state it is or it changes?

                          thanks

not much. I'll check to see if they have a new fw ver out on this device

what fw ver are you using now?

                              Hey Mark
i have a question regarding this.
sorry i cant let this go but it is driving me mad

if the shades are open (at 100 value) and i select to open at 20%, it will close the shades completely
but if i close the shades (value at 0) and then select 20% it will open correctly

could it be that it looses the value and forgets where is the correct timing?
this happens on all open/close modules so if i need to open to 30% i close them all the way and then open to 30%

is there a way to resolve this?

                                suggestions:

try a different software as a test? Houselinc or Insteon Explorer for example

check on the smarthome forums to see if others are having issues

verify with smarthome that you have the latest fw on this device
