    Caddx NX-8E connection -Strange behavior

I can't get the Caddx plugin to successfully connect to the panel. I have an NX-8E connected to homeseer at home working fine. I added a new NX-8E at my office to homeseer there and can't get it to connect. Correction... it says it is connected and correctly identified the NX8E, but it denies the master pin code.
I have sunk several hours troubleshooting and now accept that I NEED HELP.

    What I have tried:
    -confirm correct pincode
-used same cable from working home install, tried onboard serial and USB-serial
    -confirmed 9600baud on both ends Loc 208 = 2
-serial port on NX is set to ON Loc 207 =1
-Protocol set to Binary currently Loc 209 = on
-Have tried Setting to ASCII Loc 209=off - WHICH IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE?
-Tried different combinations of Loc210 and 211 DO THESE MATTER???
-Connected to serial port with terminal and got a response
-Installed DLX900 software but couldn't figure out how to connect to panel using that

I am going to try to copy all my Location settings from the Panel at home, but hopefully someone has another idea. Hopefully the NX-8e board isn't bad.

Not sure how you got your home system to work, but every caddx debug I have seen has always said get that connected first. At very least you can use that to compare settings between the two systems.

Went through the boards more and found a reference to an old jvcaddx plugin. I found the instructions on all the Panel settings and finally got it to work. I will include this here for others reference. I am not sure which setting made the difference but I set them all on my nx-8e and now it accepted the master code.
This is cut and paste - not my work - find original in JVCADDX thread.

LOCATION #207 - 1 ON (Serial Port Enable for Home Automation)

      LOCATION #208 - 2 ON (Serial Port Baud Rate = 9600)

LOCATION #209 - SEGMENT #1 (Set the Home Automation protocol to ASCII):

      1 ON

      LOCATION # 210 SEGMENT #1 :

      2 5 6 7 8 ON

      LOCATION # 210 SEGMENT #2:

      1 3 4 ON

      LOCATION #211 - SEGMENT #1:

      2 4 5 6 7 8 ON

      LOCATION #211 - SEGMENT #2:

      1 3 4 5 ON

      LOCATION #211 - SEGMENT #3:

      1 2 3 5 7 ON

      LOCATION #211 - SEGMENT #4:

      3 4 5 6 7 8 ON
