    Insteon Relay vs Dimmer Switch?

What is the difference between a Insteon Relay switch and a Insteon Dimmer switch. When should a relay switch be used?
    Thanks,
    Phil

Relay Switches are meant to control non dimmable loads such as fluorescent lighting, line voltage motors, etc. Conversely, Dimmer Switches can control dimmable loads, typically incandescent lighting and dimmable CF lighting. Dimmers can control the initial on level of the load and the ramp rate (the speed with which the switch reaches the desired on level).
