        That's from the HS2 plugin, and those are the addresses for the thermostats I have set up so far. I have the ZCV4 and ZCV6. Basically, the first two thermostats or zones on each are set up. All addressing is sequential. Thus, the four zone, 1 and 2 are in use. On the 6 zone, the addressing starts at 5, so in that case 5 and 6 are in use.

          I might add, on the HS3 plugin, I setup two thermostats so far, just to keep it simple, with address of 1 and 2. Problem is, I see no addresses going out during the POLL that occurs.

            set up just one, without the hub... set to address 1 at the stat and enter as unit 1 in the plug-in ( If at all possible, I've been know to run wires down my hallway during testing :>) )
            lets see what you get.. it should be exactly like mine

              Well, the thermostats technically connect to the zone controller, the zone controller in turn connects to a RS485 hub with a serial out. There really isn't a way to connect to a single thermostat. Although, later on, I'm going to try to remove the second defined thermostat and see if it'll possibly work with the thermostat that has an address of 1.

                whoops, just looked up the hub, you can't run without it
                gonna need to get a software serial sniffer running
                there are several at no cost
                lets see what info is actually being sent

                  ok.. looks like the info you are receiving is as per spec
                  just temps as per item 16 above

                  soo the correct info is going to HS

                  Did you set up different stats in the plug-in using stat #'s 1, 2 5 & 6 ?

                  post a snapshot of the plug-in config page

                      OK.. got it.. Plug-in is not parsing out the address..

                      must be being sent as HS2 is seeing it

                      long route to get back where we started...

                        My current setup has been working with HS2 just fine for years now. The config in HS3 is pretty straight forward and basic, you define a thermostat with its location, give it an address, save it. Although, interesting as it is, the INI file has very little, I don't even see the addresses saved, below is all that is saved in my INI file. Maybe the address is stored with the device and not visible, not sure. I'll more then likely throw together my own plug-in in the next couple of days just to get this out of the way.

                        PollInterval=20

                        Debug=True

                              Great. Certainly let me know if you or HS need additional information to clarify or test with.

                              Jstaab- I am looking forward to this almost as much as I expect your are. You helped me some time back with the special RCS plug-in build to address the set point issues.

                                It is a bit disappointing. This is the only thing left running on my hs2 machine at this point, and is somewhat crippled at that as I have other criteria that changes the setpoints on the fly, but all that logic is on my hs3 machine. Yes there are a couple of ways to connect hs2 to hs3, but it seems ridiculous that we have to go that far.
