What Kind of Applications Could We Find for This!

I wonder what we could come up with for applications to this little jewel!
I wonder if there is a way to access it? It has to have an app so I wonder if there is an API to go along with it.

Even cheaper: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Good...795613800.html

I use GSM switches at work and they are pretty dumb units designed for relatively simplistic situations, just processing incoming SMS and deciding whether or not to switch the relay. There is no API as such because they don't really have a lot of intelligence in them and are only reliant on the phone network to communicate without any central server or the like. I mean I am sure you could get one working with HS, either by using some email/HTTP to SMS gateway or connecting a mobile phone to your HS PC by serial port and then throwing AT commands down through a script to send a SMS message.

What would be the reason you would want to get one working with HS? I struggle to see where they would really be useful - I'd be more tempted to look at the Particle celluar range if you were after remote IO - https://www.particle.io/products/har...ular-2g-3g-lte

I was thinking about the people back when that had gates and were trying to figure out how to control them being far away from their house. They probably have a solution by now. After thinking about it you are right there really isn't much else you could do with it. Thanks for the explanation.
