Orphan nodes, Delete node, Phantom nodes - HomeTroller zee

I have been searching the forum for a number of days looking for a way to delete 4 orphan nodes. I have tried deleting the node using the z-wave “delete node” function and it fails on all 4 orphaned nodes on my HomeTroller zee. None of the 4 nodes can communicate with the original z-wave controller. If I delete the device info, it will return during the next scan.

Many of the post seems to be dated and I am wondering if there is a new process to remove an orphan nodes from the aeon z-wave stick besides wiping the stick and starting all over. I never did come across a post where this issue was resolved.

    Can anyone help?

I am not sure if this is possible on your HomeTroller Zee.

I have a HS Standard install with some orphans. My method is to backup the Z-Wave controller. Then edit the file by removing the phantom devices. Then restore this modified file back to your Z-Wave controller.

As these slaves are linked to the Z-Wave controller and NetworkId and have a unique NodeId they cannot be used again unless the slaves can be reset to factory default.

If you have phantom networks these are usually in zwave.ini

    Hope that helps
