Pushalot only seems to work when the app is open

Hi there, I'm trying out the Pushalot plugin but have a question. I'm on Windows 10 and I installed the Pushalot app from the Windows Store. The push notifications work, but only if the Pushalot app is open or minimized. If you press the X on it, it quits the app. Minimizing isn't bad but it doesn't go to the system tray and instead is on the task bar. Is that normal behavior?

However, I can confirm that this is default behaviour in Windows 10, but you can easily make it a background app by adding it to your lock screen notifications. Settings, Personalisation, Lock Screen, Choose apps to show quick status. Click on an available "+" and select Pushalot.
