    Plain old X10 on and off, I'm missing something

    Hi ALL

    I must be missing something VERY simple but I cant see what the issue is.

    I've got an X10 sensor "A6".

    I see this in the logs:

    Jan-09 9:41:53 PM BLRF X10 A6 (BLRadar Motion test) OFF
    Jan-09 9:41:51 PM BLRF X10 A6 (BLRadar Motion test) ON

    A6 is being received fine. A6 is NOT a BLRadar device, I've set the room just to group it.

    I create a HS device, house code A6:
    Value =100 for on
    Value = 0 for off.

    I cannot get the HS status to reflect the correct status of the device.

    Beats me, any idea what I am missing, this is X10 101 !!!

    Thanks..Pete

    Pretty sure you have to create the device in BLRF, otherwise BLRF does not know that it "owns" the device and will not control it. HS3 is very different internally in that X10 commands are no longer handled internally by HS, but by the plugins that provide the bridge to the X10 interface.

    Try deleting the device then recreating it in BLRF and see what happens.
    Best regards,

    If you're not out on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

      Ok looks like I worked it out, almost :-)

      You cant create the initial devices in BLRF, you have to create them yourself. You then have to create events to toggle the devices, thats what I didnt realise. I thought HS would change the status's themselves however no....

      I was so used to "Doomotion" years ago, I'm having to learn a new way to do things :-)

      Cheers. & Thanks..Pete
