    PLM Can't Find Port Suddenly

My Insteon/Homeseer system has been working great for months, then one day, for no reason and with no other change, it suddenly can't find the port to communicate with the U2413. I checked and everything seems set fine. X-10 seems to still work fine through the other interface. I even bought a new U2413 PLM and USB cord thinking maybe it's a hardware failure, but the new one also doesn't work. Attached are some screenshots. Any clue what happened? Thanks much!

do you get the usb sounds when you disconnect and connect the usb cord?
does the USB serial port disappear for device manager and then reappear?
have you tried a manual factory reset the plm? (see manual) You can reprogram it from the plugin once you get it back online.
i suppose you could try updating the ftdi chipset drivers, but i would do that last

Finally found out from the log that one of my 8 button KPL's had gone berserk and was sending a stream of "on" commands continuously. This was locking up everything, eventually crashing the PLM.
I reset the switch and everything is back to normal.
      Thanks for your help.

How did you manage to pinpoint that issue back to that KPL?
