Zwave.me access to COM port denied - Solved!

I have been attempting to switch over from an older zwave stick s2 to a newer Zwave.me stick on HS3.

I backed up the s2, connected the zwave.me and downloaded and installed the UZB.ini driver.

I then restored the backup to the zwave.me, disabled the s2 in the manage controller interface page and attempted to initialize the zwave.me.

It has consistently failed saying that the COM port access is denied. I

have restarted windows. and re-inserted the zwave.me. The COM port has changed from 5 to 6 in that process but it still says access to the COM port is denied.

    Any ideas?

I have now managed to fix this.

The root of the issue was that after I did the initial set-up I swapped the old and new devices over. That caused the new device to now be routed through an unpowered USB hub. Connecting the zwave.me device direct to the PC solved the problem.
