HS3 and Ring Alarm can they work together?

So now that Ring is actually shipping their alarm system will it be possible to interconnected them since they both have Z-Wave controllers?

Will they be able to share Z-Wave devices?

Will HS3 be able to monitor contacts, motion and alarm state?

Has anyone looked into this yet?

Should not have posted quite so quickly. Just figured out that the Ring system uses Z-Wave sensors. That would leave me to believe that it may be able to run as a secondary device. If that's true than one should at least be able to have both it and HS3 monitor contacts.

I trying to find out more but haven't yet found the support number for the alarm system.

Have you ever found out if it will work with Ring? I am very curious. I just bought the system and i set it up in under an hour and the communication is very strong with zwave. Never misses a transmission.

I tried to just get the real time video and was unsuccessful. Called their tech support and they indicated you must interface the doorbell with their App and it was not available otherwise. This made it unusable in HS. Maybe someone could do a Plug-in???

I really don’t care if I need to use the manufacture app to view the video or control it. I only want to get sensor status so HS can tell the state of the system and which sensors are tripped so we can write events when they trip.

Here is a roundabout integration between Ring and Smartthings. Maybe this gives devs some ideas

              https://github.com/asishrs/smartthings-ringalarm

I would very much like to have HS/Ring Alarm integration.
