    Users disappeared and/or can not add users

    FYI,
    Donstephens and I bumped into an issue where we could not add users. That is, when you defined a user, and clicked to save the user, the save did not occur and you still ended up with zero users configured. In my case, my existing defined users disappeared, and likewise, I could not re-add them.

    What appears to correct the problem is ensuring that ALL critical Microsoft updates are applied to the computer running HS. Likewise, we also installed any .Net related optional updates. Upon doing so, the problem was corrected.

    What broke this, it is assumed that either a Microsoft update caused the problem, or less likely, a HS3 update caused the issue. Regardless, applying the Microsoft updates corrected the issue.
    HS: 2.5.0.60
    Environment: Virtual XP as guest in VMWare Server running under Win 7
    Plug-ins: MLHSPlugin|RCS Serial Thermostat|UltraLog|UltraMon|
    Misc: 303 Devices, 313 Events, 68+ Scripts

    HSeer: 3.0.0.54
    Environment: Virtual XP as guest in VMWare Server running under Win 7

    Misc: 148 Devices, 116 Events, 9+ Scripts (so far, still converting)

        You add this into the INI

        Edit the info below to your information.
        Make sure to enter your name, your email, client id and API secret key
        You will have to edit the user once you restart HS3 and enter in your Google password.

        Code:
        [User=U20130914T191300185]
        key=U20130914T191300185
        name=Bob Maslen
        emailAddress=
        password=
        googleApiClientId=
        googleApiSecretKey=
        enableCalendar=true
        Cheers,
        Bob

          Can't create user

          I too am unable to add a user. My XP SP3 machine is fully updated and running Net 4. I'm using HS3 and BLGData ver 2.0.24.0. I have also edited the ini file as suggested.

          Is there something else I should try?

                Do the following:

                Shutdown HS3
                Delete the following DLLs from your HS3 root folder

                Google.GData.AccessControl.dll
                Google.GData.Calendar.dll
                Google.GData.Client.dll
                Google.GData.Extensions.dll

                Then restart HS3 and try it
                Cheers,

                  Looks like that did the trick. Now to start learning how to use the plug-in. Thanks for the quick response and help.

                      What do you get? Any errors?
                      Is there a popup on your actual HS3 machine at all?
                      Delete any debug logs and then capture me a debug log of you adding a user and attach it zipped
                      Cheers,
                      Bob
