    ISY Insteon Gold 1.0.2.0

Version 2 of the ISY Insteon plug-in is now available from the HomeSeer Updater. This version is a free upgrade to anyone who purchased version 1 of the plug-in.

This is the same code as the beta 1.0.1.18 posted here, there are no additional features or fixes.

I just checked the updater and it's not quite right. it's not showing that I currently have it installed, and it shows it available on the updater as currently version 1.0.1.0.

Did installing the interim beta releases somehow confuse the updater? either way, why would the version number be off?

The same thing happens to me and has never shown correctly from the day it was added to the updater. It shows that I do not have the ISY plug in installed even though I choose and install it from the updater.
I'm sure somebody will fix it soon.

When I checked the updater before posting the message it had version 1.0.2.0 listed. I just submit the plug-in to HomeSeer and they do the rest so I'll be sure to let them know about the issues.

I would recommend not down-grading the plug-in version

You can always grab the 1.0.2.1 release from the forums here.

FYI - I'm just considering upgrading and it appears that the updater is still broken. It doesn't show that I bought the plugin and makes it look like you can't get the latest version from the updater.

I've been very happy with the last version I loaded by the way.

I now see the same thing in the updater. I've sent another message to HomeSeer to let them know it's not right. I'll post back here when everything is working again.

Thanks for catching the problem with the HomeSeer updater.

The HomeSeer updater is now updated to show the latest released version (1.0.2.0). It should also show the currently installed version. I screwed up some of the information when I sent them the update. Now that I know what I'm doing, the next update I submit should go much better.

                Insteon keypad problems

I have an insteon 6 button keypad. I can link buttons to another insteon switch and vice versa and all works fine - keypad button and switch are synced and work as expected. I want to use a button to fire an event. It works fine in toggle mode, but no event is generated that I can see when in non-toggle mode. When the button is in toggle mode, I would like to send it an off command to turn it off if already on. This does not work. Also, on the main homeseer page, there are no on/off buttons for the keypad buttons. I could have sworn that there used to be. I included the log with errors associated with sending a DOF command below. Any thoughts on what is going on? erich@enernex.com

                  Hi,

Only the load button(s) on a keypad will respond to direct commands, that's a limitation of the keypads and Insteon protocol.

The only way to control the light in a keypad button is to make the button a responder in a scene and then send the on/off to the scene.

                  Bob

Issues with lost devices after upgrading to 1.0.2.0

I just upgraded to 1.0.2.0 and all my ISY devices are kind of lost. None of them show up in the ISY - Configuration page. In the HS status web page, the names of my devices have been changed to _______ and the Type changed to Scene. The Code still looks correct as does the Location fields. If I attempt to turn on a device from the HS status page the following message is written to the HS log:

1/22/2011 2:55:45 PM - ISY Insteon - MAIN: ISY device mapping failure for 1(521)

I also have tons of these messages in the log when A invoke "Update Device Types" on the ISYPI Configuration page..

1/22/2011 3:00:10 PM - ISY Insteon - MAIN: Unable to set HomeSeer location for Because no HomeSeer device is configured.

Clicking "Resync With ISY" does not do anything or write any events.

All my devices are fine and working from the ISY admin application.

                    Any help is appreciated.

                      Frank,

That doesn't sound good. What version of the ISY firmware are you using?

Please bump up the log level to debug and restart or resync and post or send me the log (send to isyinsteon at bobsplace dot com)

                        Hi Bob,

I'm running 2.8.10 ISY Firmware. The plug-in has been great since the first beats. I've done several upgrades with NO issues until now.

The debug log was short after doing a re-sync and HS re-start so I posted them here...

I also re-set the password and re-sync. The log is below too...

I'm running 2.8.10 ISY Firmware. The plug-in has been great since the first beats. I've done several upgrades with NO issues until now.

The debug log was short after doing a re-sync and HS re-start so I posted them here...

I also re-set the password and re-sync. The log is below too...
That version of the firmware is too new for that version of the plug-in. Please update to either the 1.0.2.14 (or if you're willing to try the beta, 1.0.2.16) version of the plug-in.

The main purpose of the changes in version 1.0.2.16 is to eliminate most, if not all, of the dependencies between the plug-in version and the ISY firmware version.

From the last log, it looks like whatever you changed the password to was wrong. The prior logs seemed to authenticate with the ISY fine (it just couldn't parse the information from the ISY).

Bob, Thanks for your help!! I upgraded the ISY PI to the 1.0.2.16 beta and that fixed the lost device problem. I do have an issue with 8 out of 206 devices/scenes/programs. In the ISY PI configuration page I've tried to enable these 8 devices by checking the check box control and then applying the filter. The check boxes of these devices are returned back to unchecked. I've re-synced, updated device types, restarted HS several times. No luck, can't enable these 8 devices so they show up in HS.

I see following lines in the log which may give you some clue.

                            Thanks for your help.
                            Frank

PS: is there a way for local device status changes to show up in the log.
