    Trendnet TV-IO201W

    Trying out a Christmas present. Anyone have any luck getting a Trendnet TV-IP110W to work with NetCam?

    I found two posts Stuart wrote, but that was several firmware versions ago and it does not seem to work.

    I keep getting "MakeThumbNail experienced error Parameter is not valid"

    What causes this error?

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Rob

    PS Typed in the wrong camera name in the subject line.....

      Getting closer!

      I am getting closer but no joy yet.

      I can bring up a snapshot by going here http://192.168.1.30/cgi/jpg/image.cgi It works well. However, it is not working with NetCam. If I setup NetCam with the following Config:

      Code:
      [cameras]
      list=RC1,admin:admin@http://192.168.1.30/cgi/jpg/image.cgi
      [settings]
      MaxPics= 30
      Columns= 4
      Rows= 5
      I get these errors when I try to display Current pictures and try to Take a Picture.

      PHP Code:
      12/29/2008 11:24:16 AM   NetCAM  MakeThumbNail experienced error Parameter is not valid
      12/29/2008 11:24:16 AM   Error  Web Server Error 404cannot serve fileC:\Program Files\HomeSeer 2\html/netcam/RC1.jpg
      NetCam is just not able to grab a file. Unfortunately there is no debug log to look at to see what is causing this error.

      If a copy a picture into the /netcam directory named RC1.jpg, it will display once. Once I click on any other link of button on the netcam display page or config page, that picture vanishes. I suspect the plug-in is doing something, but I cannot figure out what.

      Any ideas? This camera has a GREAT picture even at LOW lights and I am hoping there is some way to get it to work.

      Maybe some setting in SecureView or the camera's setting page?

      I am going to turn in a ticket now to see if that gets me anywhere.

          Hi,
          another setting I use for my linksys camera
          http://192.168.0.30/img/snapshot.cgi?size=3&quality=1

          also I know that I did enter a user account in the config for the trendnet camera and never have had it entered in the netcam config.

            Fixed!

            Genericly, this is the camera URL for the Trendnet TV-IP110W

            http://ID:PW@192.168.XX.XX/cgi/jpg/image.cgi

            I am an idiot and didn't catch that I placed the ID and PW incorrectly.

            Chalk it up to too much Nog this holiday season....

            Big thanks to Stuart for getting me going in the right direction!

            Rob

            PS. A special thanks to Richard Helmke for being kind in his ticket response!

              It stopped working!

              For 6 years my Trendnet TV-IP110W worked with http://ID:PW@192.168.XX.XX/cgi/jpg/image.cgi

              Today, it stopped.

              I can't pull it up in a browser this way anymore either. The camera works. I can log into it and see an image. I just can no longer get to any Trendnet camera using this type of URL.

              WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?

                What browser are you using? I thought IE stopped supporting the password and id in the URL years ago. Did you have some Microsoft updates pushed to your system overnight that may have changed this?

                  Using IE8 on the HS machine. It is running XP. No new updates have been applied in over a week.

                  Had a picture of my back door sent to me two days ago.....
