    Setting up Z-Stick Gen5

I found the setup instructions here:
    https://www.homeseer.com/pdfs/Z-Stic...structions.pdf

It says if you don't see the port in device manager to download the drivers from here:
    ftp://ftp.homeseer.com/p
    ub/CP210x_VCP_Win7.exe

For Win7. I don't see the port in Ports. I do see one item in Unknown.
When I go to the FTP site it asks for a user name and password.

Can someone please either let me know the user name and password or direct me to another location for me to download the driver?

    Thank you,

    Docfxit

I found a driver for the Z-Stick at:
    https://aeotec.freshdesk.com/support...vers-inf-files

I don't know if the manufactures driver (the one I downloaded) or the HomeSeer driver is better for HomeSeer.

    Thanks,
    Docfxit

It says to "Start your HomeSeer system and from the web interface, click “Setup” button and then the “Interfaces” tab."

I found the Setup button. I can't find the Interfaces tab.

Could someone please direct me to the Interfaces tab?

        Thank you,

I think it may be referring to this:

        1. plug-ins tab
        2. z-wave
        3. controller management
        4. click on arrow left of z-stick
        5. pick your controller under interface model
        6. change com port to what is in the device manager under com ports

I think the drivers get loaded automatically in W10 when you plug it in the usb port on the computer for the first time.

When I go to the Plug-ins tab I see HomeSeer Z-wave but not Z-wave.
I think the HomeSeer Z-wave is different.

            He meant Plug-ins->Z-Wave

From menu bar, click PLUG-INS, then select Z-Wave->Controller Management from the pop-up.
            From there, click Add Interface
Select Interface Model 'Aeon Labs Aoetec Z-Stick'
            Select the proper COM port.

For the driver, you can get it directly from the manufaturer:
            https://www.silabs.com/documents/pub...ws_Drivers.zip

            (from https://www.silabs.com/products/deve...ge-vcp-drivers)

I don't see Z-Wave. Could you please post a screen shot where Z-Wave is supposed to be?

Here you go. Click on controller management and follow what zwolfpack said from the part where it says add interface. You will see what is behind the drop downs.

                  Setting up Z-Stick Gen5

It is listed as HomeSeer Z-Wave but once you have added it, it will only say z-wave.

Once you start the z-wave plug in give a little while to full start and then it will be in the menu as displayed above.

To start click on the switch under Enable. You will see it go from Red to Green

The only option in my pull down under Plug-Ins is Manage.

How can I get the rest of them?

                    Thank you,

It looks like to me that you don't have any plugins installed. If you select Manage what do you get?

If I am wrong then maybe someone else can chime in. I think brientim is on the right track. You need to load the z-wave plugin.

Click on the checkbox to the left of the HomeSeer Plug In and then just above it a new option will appear which enable you to install. See my screen in post #12 but where it stated Remove will be where you need to click to install. Once installed click on the enable.
