Also the ZFM-80 did show up in the dropdown for my Leviton 2 button-controller, so it does appear to be scene capable, althought I did not test it.

Good to hear ZFM worked out!

BTW you can also use Aeon micro switch for same purpose and HS does carry those.

Personally ZFM is better built but since you are not switching any current on load side it doesn't really matter. And Aeon is much smaller/easier to hide.

One trick with Aeon is to enable instant status (it is not enabled by default):

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I'm trying to accomplish the exact thing with a ZFM-80 and one run of my landscape lighting. I've searched for days, and this thread is the only one that references what I'm trying to do. Everything else is regarding fireplaces and garage doors, which I've already done.

I want to confirm the wiring configuration to get this one to independently control a 12V light run. I have the 120v power working properly, but would like to see a picture of a successfully implemented switch between the transformer lead and the lights. Thank you to anyone who could provide some insight into this!

No worries - if you look at figure 2 on this document

        https://www.zwaveproducts.com/produc...n/ZFM-80US.pdf

L/N are hot/neutras from 120V circuit. You need to connect that to power the ZFM80.

You use output marked as relay output (in the pic connected to the bulb) and connect your 12 V to L'N'. The polarity doesn't matter since this is low voltage/12V.

Thanks for the quick response, Person.

The issue I was running into was getting power to the lights and just being able to switch that run on/off. What I needed to do was to keep one of the 2 12V wires running uninterrupted from the transformer to the lights, and only switch the other wire. I drew a diagram in case anyone else stumbles across this thread 5 years later like yours truly. The two lines running from Transformer represent one run of low voltage landscape wire:

            Hello

Fibaro FGS211 or FGS222 are contact free of voltage.
