I allow "Locking" or other actions that INCREASE my security posture, but no voice commands are allowed or accepted for actions that DECREASE my security posture. All unlock/disarm/camera disable etc required password entered on a screen of some kind.My home is smarter than your honor roll student.

Dont allow voice commands on the device.
Put the commands in events instead.
put the phrase "lock the front door" on the event.
the event locks the front door.
Then you can say "Alexa, tell homeseer to lock the front door", and it will work, but "Alexa, tell homeseer to unlock the front door" will not.
Then you can have a different phrase for unlocking the front door.Wade

The smart home skill does not allow for unlocking, whereas the custom skill does.
That's an Amazon policy we have no control over in the Smart Home skill.
The smart home skill is the one where you discover your devices, and say things like 'Alexa, turn on the kitchen light'.
The custom skill has no discovery process, but you need to preface you command with 'Tell HomeSeer', as in 'Alexa, tell HomeSeer to turn on the kitchen light.'.Wade
