Echo Integration Doesn't work without "No Password Required"

If I uncheck "No Password Required for Local/Same Subnet" in Setup -> Network, Alexa/Echo integration stops working. As soon as I check "No Password Required", it starts working again. This shouldn't be the case. Nothing in the documentation states passwords required and echo integration are not compatible.

Is there some workaround or fix planned in future versions?

Another iteration of this problem, you can leave "No Password Required for Local/Same Subnet" checked, but if you remove +Local from all the accounts Alexa/Echo stops working as well.

Could someone from Homeseer confirm that in order for the Echo API to function you must have a +Local user with no password required set?

In other words this API will not function if all users of the system are required to login?
