Sending IR signals through SB3

I want to send some trained ir-signals through sb3
ie control my amplifier through homeseer
sending commands through the original sb3 remote works fine
training etc is ok, but the plugin manual is very short on how to continue

I understand i have to make some modifications to the squeezebox.ini; I suppose this is the hspi_squeezebox.ini in the config folder ?
(there is already an IR section where I can see the trained signals)

Great what was it? Just recall that the ir learning / sending signals is managed via the HS2 IR infrastructure / pages / scripts (http://{hs2-server-name:hs2-port-number}/irsg).
