    Z-Wave Thermostat Manufacturer Information Needed

    OK here is the deal.
I need some help in determining the values for the following information:

    Manufacturer ID
    Manufacturer Product ID
    Manufacturer Product Type

These exist in HomeSeer but they are only numbers and Rich cannot give me the table of what the manufacturers are because it is bound by the Z-Wave SDK license. I fully understand this but I need the information so this is why I need your help.

I am attaching a VB.Net script that will get this information for all thermostats assigned in HomeSeer. What I need from you is for anyone running BLStat I need you to do the following:

    1. Unzip the script into your HS scripts folder
    2. Go to the Control web page (/ctrl) and in the "Immediate Script Command" box type the following and click "Execute Command"

    Code:
    &hs.RunEx "Display_ZWave_Thermostat_Device_Info.vb", "Main", ""
This will generate a report called Display_ZWave_Thermostat_Device_Info.log in your HS root folder. It should list a section for all Z-Wave thermostats that you have.

I then need you to reply back to this thread with the following information for each Z-Wave thermostat that you have:

Thermostat Make and Model (eg: Trane TZEMT400AB32MAA)
Z-Wave Manufacturer ID - this will be in the log
Z-Wave Product ID - this will be in the log
Z-Wave Product Type - this will be in the log

This will help me figure out what model of thermostat you are running with the plug-in.

You only need to do this if your thermostat information is not already listed by another user

    I appreciate your help
Let me know if you have any issues.

Yep there all tz16, two different mfg versions I believe. They all have the same firmware, but in getting them updated the 'older' versions caused some challenges for RCS to get them flashed with latest firmware.

Here is what tech support at RCS had to say about those units, when they upgraded the firmware.

We received your Z-Wave dongles in-house on 7/31/9; checked into tech repair queue on 8/1/09.
So far, 2 of the newer units [ 300 series Z-Wave IC ] are reloaded with the latest firmware.
Engineering is looking at whether or not the latest firmware can be loaded into the older revision
dongles [ 200 series Z-Wave IC and no cost ] <<or>> the board will have to be replaced [ at cost ].

They did the firware upgrades at no cost!!! RCS rocks!

I have three CT20 thermostats, with the following:
                        Z-Wave Manufacturer ID: 152
                        Z-Wave Product ID: 30
                        Z-Wave Product Type: 1

Interestingly, that's the same info as the CT30. So they didn't even change the product ID.

I just got a new ZWave Thermostat from Ebay and it was sold as a 2Gig CT30. However, although it looks identical to my CT30, it has a different label on it - Vivint. And the instruction manual is clearly labeled as Vivint.

                          I found the thermostat here:
                          http://www.vivint.com/support/techni...at/useroptions

It seems to work the same as my 2Gig, but it also has a battery level device which is really cool. The downside is that it doesn't have a polling option.

When I run the script command, I get the following for the Vivint (which appears to be a new entry):
                          Type: Z-Wave Thermostat
                          Z-Wave Manufacturer ID: 152
                          Z-Wave Product ID: 344
                          Z-Wave Product Type: 7696

The entry for my 2GIG matches what everyone else has posted.

I still have an issue with the BLStat plugin (http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=149384), but I wanted to report this info (with the hope that maybe at least one of my thermostats will be recognized by BLStat!)
