I would love to have done IP control as well, but I have not been able to find a decent API or protocol description. If you have something you could share I would most certainly look at developing this into the plug-in.

By "magic packet" do you mean Wake-on-LAN? If so I guess this could be done, but that would only give you ON functionality so I'm not sure how much use there is of this without functionality to furhter control the TV?

The WOL is just for powering the device on. I'm hooked up over ethernet

I have noticed the more expensive Panasonic feature the WOL but others don't. As my TV is only a monitor and ALL else switched from basement, a WOL via IP would be my only feature request needed to make this plugin worthwhile...
