New Hi-Phone Desktop RS232 version of the Way2Call Modem avaible

I just received a mail from way2call by Doron Shachar (doron@way2call.com):

The RS-232 version of the way2call modem is avaible in USA.

    Rick / Rich:

I`ll prefor that version of the modem because I have 5 RS-232 Ports free but no USB anymore.

Do you sell that version also?

Do you know something about the compatibility with HS at this moment?

At this time we do not plan on carrying the RS232 version. There really hasn't been a demand for it. If you need more USB ports, you can simply add a USB hub.

Just wondering if the RS-232 version is still supported? Are there firmware updates for the clicking issue? Do the drivers for the USB version work with it? Will it be able to forward/regenerate the caller-id that is mentioned in the Annoyed thread?

      Thanks for your time,

I did not have good luck with the RS-232 version. I had to swap for the USB version to get it working properly

Up until about a week ago, I used the RS-232 version for the home line and it was working fine, although I did have the logs being generated all the time.

Other than the interface driver, the same firmware is available for both units.
