I am using a very simple setup to control LED strip lights that are approx. 20' long. I have an Arduino Nano that is supposed to control multiple such lights. I am currently trying to do this with just one light strip (using just one pin on the Arduino). I can adjust the dimming level in a wide range. Should I be concerned with cooling (the IRL540N seems to stay quite cool will be in a relatively small box instead of an open room where it is right now), switching speed and ripples? I think it's over engineering but like to get some input.
