    Z-wave errors - the norm?

Curious if this is a sign of some issue in my network or everyone gets random Z-wave errors. I'd like to improve the reliability and avoid those "the x didn't work" statements from my wife.

Looks like your Z-Wave controller is in a failed state. Which Z-Wave interface are you using?

I have the Z-NET (Z-NET Configuration - Version 1.0.22). I bought it when it first came out and it's hard wired to my router. Should I replace it?

If you have insufficient node density you can get trouble spots. I have to optimize my network most days to avoid issues like that even with a higher node density.

That seems odd to me, does anyone else need to optimize daily to avoid problems?

My home is 2700 square feet, I have 32 zwave devices, 24 have a direct connection to my znet, the rest are 1-3 hops

I only optimize when I add a new device. I don't have any zwave errors in my current logs and my system works as expected.

Well, the house I have is long and large so only about 1/3 of my nodes are direct to the controller. The problem devices that seem to need the regular optimization are these 4 Honeywell Z-wave thermostats. They run a very old version of the Z-wave firmware that seems to be quite buggy. I've had about half the system go offline when the thermostats go wonky.

I rebooted HS3 and my Z-NET on 11/28 and I haven't had any errors since.

My z-wave network is pretty solid with most devices directly connected to the Z-NET and a couple with 1 or 2 hops as seen from the Z-Seer tool.
