And that is only when you send a standby command via a button?

When the machine is up, and in hibernate:

          Jon00RCCNM.vben - WaitSleepJoin

            OK,

            Next idea.

            Try the attached client.

Thanks for you help on this BTW - very frustrating that I cannot test this locally.

Edit: Client removed - Now available for download.

Yup, I just set the machine to standby not using the script and everything stayed in the WaitSleepJoin state, and was able to WOL it.

                Thread state: Good
                WOL monitor: Captured a packet
                Target machine state: Woken

I think we have a winner here.

The client posted now runs the suspend routine in it's own background thread and also waits 2 seconds before it actually sends the PC into standby.

Can someone now remove the wolcmd.exe and see if that works now

That must be one of the most frustrating bugs I have ever had to deal with. Lots of changes which were not necessary but at least the culprit was found!

I'll put it back together and make a few changes.

Hopefully, for the last time, can you try the attached scripts. Remove the ClientPingCheck in the ini file if you have entered this.

Edit: Script removed - Now available for download.

Thanks Brian. Looks stable here too.

                                Jon,

Is this a script upgrade, or both a script and client upgrade?
