I'm using something similar, using EventGhost and AutoRemote for Tasker.
It relies on GCM (Google Chrome Messaging) and receives notifications nearly instant.

I use AutoRemote for quick 2-way communication between Tasker and EventGhost (which forwards to HomeSeer)

              Tasker integration

Been a little while since I messed with this. I will eventually post my configs but what I've done so far works, although it's a bit kludgy.

I'm currently using Homeseer on it's own laptop in my basement. I have Eventghost on my desktop PC along with Autoremote for Windows (there are several different versions for OS and devices.) On my Android devices I use Tasker, Autoremote and Autovoice to control all of my lighting and send/receive messages between the various devices.

There is a slight lag since I currently have eventghost and HS on two different computers but once I upgrade to a more robust server I'll put them both on there.

Of course I'm interested as well, it looks like it would bne a great integration. I will be willing to test it if you like.

Hi, it's going forward but this is my first plugin and I'm not a real programmer, just a hobby. For the moment I am adding more features. All my devices is rooted but I have to fix so that regular commands works without root.

                          Integrate Android Tasker with Homeseer

                          Hi Tony

It looks promising. I hope to test it soon.

I want to use it mainly with Android tablets and my wife's phone as I use iPhone :-(

                            Wow, this looks very impressive!

Quick question, does the screen on/off work with Jelly Bean? I thought Tasker didn't support screen on for Gingerbread and later.

I have also been playing with takers a little and am hoping to integrate it in to my homeseer setup. Right now I am looking at NFC tag capabilities and hoping to use some of them to trigger homeseer events. I love how this plugin is coming along. Can't wait for its release.
