Importing IR from HS2 to HS3/BLUSBUIRT and what to backup once done

With HS2 and native IR support, using the USB UIRT, the settings were stored in a combination of the file HS2\Config\IR-Labels.ini and the registry under
    HKCU\Software\VB and VBD Program Settings\UIRT_IR\IRCodes

Is there any way to mangle/import these to BLUSBUIRT? I didn't like the idea of spending several hours re-teaching 150+ IR codes again if avoidable. Assuming I can find all the old remotes...

Subsequently, once in HS3, what should be backed up to keep safe? Do I still need the registry as well as everything under HS3\Config? It looks like BLUSBUIRT is storing the codes in HS3\Config\hspi_BLUSBUIRT.ini from a quick test and that's all that's needed? Confirmation would be good though

    Thanks,
    John.

PS Thanks for getting this plugin out there. Was my last major hurdle before migration could begin!

There is no import in the plugin. I would need a sample of where the codes are stored in the registry so I know how to import them

The codes are now stored in the hspi_BLUSBUIRT.ini file
    Cheers,
    Bob

So that is only 1 code, correct?
I thought you had a lot of them in the registry

          No Me.

Just one. I saw someone ask about importing . You ask about the location.. and I stepped in with the location.

I assume that the LCode@0 would be LCode@1, LCode@2, etc
            Correct?
            Cheers,

In BLUSBUIRT the IR codes are assigned to devices. In the registry it does not look like they are assigned to anything. This will make it quite hard to import

There's actually more than that. Here's a snip from an exported registry file showing a few entries. I don't know what the L, U & R mean though, or why R rarely appears.

                Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

                [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\UIRT_IR]

                [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\UIRT_IR\IRCodes]

                "UCode@0"="558568004857"

                "UCode@3"="558568004857"
                "LCode@4"="F40R063908230844081E086F08330833082E08690881F8082 30859081E081E081E0833081E081E08|063908230844081E086F08330833 082E08690881F80823082E0849081E081E0833081E081E08"

                ...

And these correspond in IR-Labels.ini (again snipped) to
                "0,Comcast,Comcast,Power,Power"
                "1,Comcast,Comcast,0,0"
                "2,Comcast,Comcast,1,1"
                "3,Comcast,Comcast,2,2"
                "4,Comcast,Comcast,3,3"
                "5,Comcast,Comcast,4,4"
                "6,Comcast,Comcast,5,5"
                ....

I might try and put a script together to do the conversion if I can decode hspi_blusbuirt.ini and the IRCode_nnnn entries.

                Thanks,
                John.

I think a script would be the best way to go.
                  Cheers,

I believe that is so. I have both hs2 and hs3 running on the some machine. Tomorrow I will add additional codes and see what comes up.

Boy, this forum has been a bit dead lately... Did the primary location move?

Anyway, did anything ever come of this? I'd love to be able to import my HS2 codes if possible.
