Yes, it works with the iframe format but you don't even need that. The simple YouTube link is sufficient.

Embedded you tube videos not working

This shows up blank for me until it quoted.

Nope still blank. Only shows the quote when posting. Once posted it's all gone.

Ok last edit: this shows up in a normal web browser it seems, however in tapatalk (the only way I look at this forum for the most part because of its lack of performance the ads do to this site) it's showing up blank.

I get the changes that are needed, but this is another situation with all these website changes that directly have affected a lot of us with very little thought in QA or impact. I know i say we are beta testers... but I didn't mean for it to be taken literally .

what is a simple youtube link? Can you post an example?
I'm unable to make it work with a link or an iframe format.

can't you fix the [youtube] tags to make it work as before?

Mark is referring to something like this:
          Code:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuRK5-QUfMA
If you do this the video will show.

Chris - we're using a "mod" to make this happen since the previous BBCODE stopped working due to YouTube changes.

did you try to fix the BBCODE ?
are you sure it is a youtube change? it looks like this problem appeared at the same time that the forum was changed to use SSL

YouTube didn't send us anything official so we tried to find what we could online. We did attempt the BBCODE iframe fix in this thread but it didn't work: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...youtube-videso

There are several suggestions in that thread. I don't know what version of vBulletin you are running, but a friend just tried this code for the tags on an old 3.8 site and it did work.

                    Code:
                    <iframe width="425" height="355"
                    src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/{param}?rel=0" frameborder="0"
                    allowfullscreen></iframe>
HS4 Pro, 4.2.19.0 Windows 10 pro, Supermicro LP Xeon

Spud figured it out. We used that code but we switched the board use SSL and didn't update the BB Code with "https". All fixed now. You can use the [youtube] tags or just the simple YouTube link now, so it's better than before.
