    FTP into Hometroller?

I can't find documentation on which user ID/password I'm supposed to use to access it that way - anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

That did the trick and I've written it down in my notes this time.
      Thanks for the speedy reply!

        ftp login not working

        Hello all...

Trying fileZilla to get at the images directory with no joy. Read the threads:

        User/Pwd
        homeseer/hsthsths3

ftp:// default is port 21, no joy
        tried port 23, no joy
        port 22 is sftp://
        Status: Waiting to retry...
        Status: Connecting to 10.0.0.225:21...
Status: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".
Error: Could not connect to server

Also tried my username/password with no luck.

        Any ideas?

        Thanks!

Not sure that FTP or SFTP is enabled on your Homeseer box by default.

Pretty sure that FTP is not enabled. SFTP though should work.

Can you ssh to your box?

Did you change your Homeseer password when first using Homeseer?

Can you get to the Homeseer GUI Linux command line tool? (Tools / system / linux tools)

It might be easier to utilize WinSCP if you are using a Windows desktop / laptop.

On the Raspberry Pi, ftp is disabled by default. Use sftp, which operates over ssh (port 22).

Of course you could just drop a blank text file name SSH. into the root folder which will enable SSH if you really need it.

Did the sftp password change when I updated my Hometroller SEL to HS4? I need to log in to check some files and none of my passwords, including hsthsths3, work. I'm rapidly going from a "love/hate" relationship with Homeseer to a "hate/hate" one.
