Insteon Smoke Bridge 2982-222 Support

Yes,
I'm in the final stages of adding support for the Smoke Bridge. It will work with any of the of the controllers I support (PLM, RF Dongle, hub, etc)

Please let me know if/when you get one so i can make sure to post a version for it.

It worked well Mark! I did notice though when I push the test button on the smoke alarm I'll see the "Test Detected" status in HS, but it never goes back to "Normal" for the bridge It seems like an all clear should be generated by the bridge which in turn should end up in a "Normal" status in HS but can't confirm for sure from the owners manual. If I do tap the set button once on the bridge to cycle through the notifications it will update HS with the notification and when its done it will show "Normal" again as the status after the all clear. I wasn't sure if it's supposed to work that way when doing the test..Your thoughts? Thanks, Pete

can you rerun your alert test with detailed logging and post a log snippet from the start to finish of the test.

Just received my bridge today and it looks like it is working fine with the beta plugin.

One question - How do a write a event the responses to the fire or co2 alarm going off? I'm unsure what the status or values are in these states.

Any help on this?

just use the hs 'device value change' trigger then select the smoke bridge device,and finally the value you want to trigger on. See the attached image

what about if you press the test/silence btn again, will you get a Normal msg then

Hi Mark,
No other messages were received from the smoke alarm after the test..I tapped the set button on the bridge to have it run through that cycle to put the status value to normal. I then pushed the test button and let it go through that cycle which left it in test detected. I then repeated it again and it set it to test detected again when complete. Makes me wonder how it will act when it detects smoke. I'll have to give that a try sometime tomorrow outside during daylight. I'm sure that will get the neighbors attention!

Tried the alarm outside tonight(see copy/paste of log below). I didn't get the 'smoke detected' status but I did take it away from the fire/smoke to make it stop after two beeps so maybe thats the cause? I'll try it again tomorrow but wanted to get Mark's thoughts first. I did get the 'normal' status when it was done which was good. So if pushing test is going to leave it in 'test detected' I was thinking for a work around to trigger a delayed event with script to reset the value/status to normal.

i posted 1.9.1.2 on the new beta thread. Can you give this a try with the smoke bridge and see how it does.

ps. the smoke bridge may or may not return to 'normal'. it depends on whether the FA sends that signal. we may just have to run an action to do this manually based on our own situation.
