Hi all,
If this is already being discussed somewhere else I apologize now.
My HVAC has 3 thermostats, 1 for the upstairs unit and 2 for the downstairs zone controlled unit. I purchased 3 Trane Z-wave thermostats for use with this system. The upstairs unit works perfectly. The downstairs units are not compatible with my zone controller.
I plan on replacing my zone controller with a DirectLogics PLC so that I can use the Trane thermostats. I would also like to add this new PLC based zone controller to my Homeseer automation project.
The question that I have is, is it possible to control or at least communicate with a DirectLogics PLC from Homeseer?
I would assume that a driver or OPC server would be required. Has anyone else set up any type of programmable logic controller to communicate with Homeseer?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
