    Zstick error on COM4?

    i keep getting this error in my logs:
    *
    Z-Wave Warning
    Aeotec ZStick: The serial port (COM4) was not found in the system. Will keep waiting for it...

    But in the settings, i have it on COM3, and all is working fine. I may have screwed this up at some point when i removed the stick to include a device, but got it setup correctly after. but it still seems to think there may also be a stick on COM4.

    for the life of me i can't find where to fix this?

    Maybe check the z-wave.ini file in the config folder. Also you could try stopping the zwave plugin and then renaming the zwave database files in the data\z-wave folder and then restarting the plugin. New files will get created.

    Cheers

      The ini file just showed COM3 listed...

      The second fix seemed to work.

      Gonna owe you a beer soon!

            Another round of thanks, Al;

            All this mandatory time at home and indoors has at least allowed me to get on with migrating from my fifteen year old X10 setup to Z-Wave.

            I had the same problem with the COM port error message, and your tip about the database cured it. HS forums to the rescue again!

            Andrew.
