    Missing W800Rf32 antenna - suggestions

In a move I missplaced the W800's antenna. I'd like a low/no cost replacement and was thinking of a using a short piece of bare copper wire as the antenna along with an F connector. Anyone know the ideal length for picking up X-10 remotes and motion sensors? (US versions)

Take a look at this: http://cocoontech.com/forums/topic/1...x-10-receiver/

Thanks for the link Al. Looks like a 9.5" rod will do in a pinch.

That antenna in the link is more than just the 1/4 wavelength rod. The other 4 rods from a groundplane and are part of the RF design. If you are going for a simple straight dipole antenna just under 1/2 wavelength is ideal.

See this thread for that and a couple other tips that could help your performance.
