No, I haven't had any reports of problems with leak sensors. I do have one and I see some issues with status changes but HS is running so slow right now that I can't really debug it. I'm also seeing that the ISY is sending messages about the leak sensor that I haven't seen before so I need to see what UDI has added there.

    Thanks for reporting this.

    Bob
I just saw this on the UDI forums http://forum.universal-devices.com/v...465a0fc0e3c353

I wonder if it really is working mostly as designed. I am seeing messages about status change but when I put the sensor in a bit of water, it's in another room so by the time I get back to the computer and refresh the screen it may changed to wet and back to dry.

Are you seeing the ISY reporting dry/off wet/on over a long enough period of time to refresh the HS status and see that they're out of sync?

Have you tried setting up a homeseer event to trigger on a status change and see if the event does trigger?

It may be a couple of days before I get a chance to run some tests and do some actual debugging with this.

I've recently purchased a few of the Insteon Leak Sensors (Model 2852-222) and added them to my ISY99i interface. The devices show up in HS/2 okay, but when the status changes (simulated moisture on the sensors) they don't seem to register in HS even though the ISY sees them.

Have you had any other reports of this type of problem?

      Thanks,
With version 1.0.4.15 that I just posted the leak sensors should report properly now. I had some special handling for certain sensors (motion and triggerlincs) but it looks like all the sensors in that class will need that same type of handling. This change should make the new door sensor report properly too along with any other new sensors like this that Smarthome comes out with.

        Delay Reaction Tiime?

New to the plugin and to ISY994i/IR Pro. Just set my unit up and moved all my Insteon over to the unit. Also ordered the Z-Wave module that should be here soon.

In the meantime I am trying to adjust a few Events I have in Homeseer as I have a number of three-way Z-Wave dimmer switches.

I have a Hall Night Light Event that I created that triggers on us being Asleep, Hall Light Off, and Hall Motion On. The motion sensor is Insteon and now on the ISY. The Hall Light is a three-way Z-wave still on Homeseer.

The event now is unstable and hits and misses on the motion sensor triggering? It use to almost instantly trigger the light when someone entered the all. Now it seems to hit and miss. Sometimes it takes up to 3 triggers of the Motion Sensor before the lights come on?

Is this a nature delay due to Homeseer having to use the plugin to get the Motion Sensor status?

        Thanks
        Rich

PS: I just danced up and down the hall and counted 8 flashes / triggers of the Motion Sensor before the lights finally came on?

          Welcome Rich!

I have almost the same set up. I have an insteon motion sensor triggering a zwave switch. However, I currently have it all set up in the ISY as I do have the zwave module.

So I just tried a test. I create a HomeSeer event to turn on other (insteon) lights when the motion sensor triggers. For me, it's working every time. There's a slight delay such that the insteon lights are coming on after the zwave lights, but not unexpected given that I'm triggering a scene and the additional network/processing it goes through.

It should not be hit and miss. We need to do a little trouble shooting to figure where the problem is. And because it's a motion sensor, it may take a bit effort.

First make sure the ISY is seeing the events from the sensor. You can do this by opening the event viewer from the ISY's admin console. It's under Tools -> Diagnostics ->Event viewer.

Every time you trigger the motion sensor you should see a line in the event viewer like:

          Code:
          Mon 12/16/2013 08:22:56 PM : [ 23 18 84 1] DON 1
If that's happening reliably then we know that the ISY is seeing the events fine.

Next, if you set the ISY plug-in's log level to "Status" (this is configurable on the ISY Plug-in Configuration page). Set the log level and save the configuration. You should then see corresponding events in the HomeSeer log.

          Code:
ISY Insteon EVNT: Den/Den motion sensor-Sensor sent 1
          Event Event Trigger "Den Motion"
          TTS Speak ():Den Motion activated
If your computer and the ISY have the same time, the timestamps between the event viewer and the HS log should be with a few seconds.

I have Homeseer running on my Home Server. I noted that it was using "time.windows.com" as its NTP. I told it to update now and then I set the ISY unit to use the same NTP...

My Event Trigger is set to:

            Monday to Sunday...

            Group 1
Property Home We Are is ASLEEP Device: Property Home We Are is ASLEEP AND
2nd Floor Hallway Light is OFF Device: 2nd Floor Hallway Light is OFF AND
2nd Floor Motion Hall-Sensor is On Device: 2nd Floor Motion Hall-Sensor is On

My Event Action reads like this:

2nd Floor Hallway Light Dim to 8%
1st Floor Stair Way and Front Entry Light Dim to 10%
2nd Floor Hallway Light Off Delay: 00:00:35
1st Floor Stair Way and Front Entry Light Off Delay: 00:00:35

Triggered the motion sensor again. This time about 31 seconds later the light came on.

Here is the Event Viewer from ISY:

The good news is that both the ISY and the plug-in seem to be catching the events. The timestamps are within 1 second for both the on and off events from the motion sensor.

If I'm reading this right, you have a "Condition" event. The trigger type is set to "Condition" and you define three conditions that have to be met. Is that right?

I believe that HomeSeer checks condition at a fixed period, something like 30 or 60 seconds. So that may explain the behavior.

I would suggest you change the trigger to be an ISY Sensor trigger and have it fire the event when the motion sensor sends an ON. You can still set conditions on the event for the hallway light being off and the asleep is true.

I think what you have now is something like:
              Code:
              every 60 seconds check
                  if we are ASLEEP AND
if 2nd floor hallway light is off AND
if 2nd floor motion sensor is on THEN

Turn on lights for 35 seconds
              What you want is:
              Code:
when 2nd floor motion sensor sends ON
                  if we are ASLEEP AND
if 2nd floor hallway light is off THEN

Turn on the lights for 35 seconds

                Hi Bob...

First... A real big thanks for the support and really fast response and all the hard work on this plugin!!

                OK You stated:

I believe that HomeSeer checks condition at a fixed period, something like 30 or 60 seconds. So that may explain the behavior.
I was unaware of this!! Wow, this little bit of knowledge was worth all the trouble!!!

OK I did as you suggested and sure enough it was an almost instantaneous response!!!! I'm on my computer in the office and the hall is right out the door. So I am able to walk backwards out the door and hit start on the stopwatch the minute the ON shows on the ISY Motion Hall-Sensor window... This time it happened so fast I didn't have to bother...

Here's the supporting data for other to reference as well, I highlighted the Motion times in RED.

I am adding another question for you that I was not seeing yesterday that has to do with the Insteon Thermostat 2441TH. I highlighted these in BLUE.

Made the change you suggested, re-synced the clocks,...

Apparently these are some new thermostat API's that are undocumented. So the message is correct, they are not supported by the plug-in.

Searching the forum and HS docs has not provided any other details.

OK last edit of this post for the night... got to get to sleep...

I'm not sure what is causing the Thermostat errors. They did not seem to be there when I posted the first logs having to do with the timing issue???

Seems that the Event option called "Thermostat Action" are NOT working, but the ISY Thermostat ones do... None of my Events using Thermostat Action worked, but when I changed them all to the ISY... version all work now. The "Thermostat Action" ones did not.

The "Thermostat Action" seems to be tied as well to the ISY Thermostat as it shows the thermostat as "1st Floor Thermostat - Main" and that matches the ISY Folder and name...

So I guess there are two ways with you plugin to control the Thermostat?

                          Hello!
I am unable to install this update.

It goes through and gets to the end, and stops says it can't find a file.

I have navigated to the location of where the file is located, and it won't finish.

                          Any ideas?

I did notice the older version had a setup.exe in the zip, this new one does not.

                          Thanks for your help,

                          Travis

What file does it say it can't find (or what's the location)? I think the only file that the installer needs is the isy_insteon.ini file located in the HomeSeer2/Config directory. I thought it was supposed to create that one if it doesn't exist.

I did notice the older version had a setup.exe in the zip, this new one does not.
According to HomeSeer, that was only needed for very old versions of windows.

                                Travis,

It seems like the install package can't property run from where it got unzipped. I don't know why. What happens if you open the zip file and copy the .msi file to somewhere else (your documents folder or desktop) and then double click on the .msi file to do the install?

Maybe it has something to do with the account that's being used? Based on the path, it looks like you're running it as administrator so I wouldn't think you'd have permission problems.
