Question about handheld remote

I am still learning how to use HomeSeer and have some questions about how handheld remotes work with HomeSeer.

Q1: I have a GE 45601 handheld remote. Can I use it to trigger Events that are defined in HomeSeer? How?
Q2: Are there any other ways that this handheld remote can be used to interact with HomeSeer?

Most Z-Wave remotes will not work. However, the Cooper remote can be used to trigger events since it supports scenes. Another option is to use a W800 RF reciever then you can use the inexpensive X10 handheld remotes.
