So far with the rain sensor wiring like we discussed I have been fine. I wont really have any faith in it for until it goes for a few weeks. I will post any my findings.

I think at this point it is safe to say that the pull-up resistor solved the problem.

Well I spoke too soon...
I guess I was just having a good month. My device is inhibiting every two or three days now. If there is any way that your plugin can inject an un-inhibit command on a schedule that would be awesome!

My Call to the manufacturer was less than thrilling. SmartHome is really good about exchanges, but The folks that make EZ-flora told me that the best that they would do is to let me send them my unit so that they could repair it. The problem with that is that I would be without for up to 4 weeks and I would get the same unit back. Oh and they wouldn't repair it unless they can get it to fail in their facility. Given the random nature of this device, it would no doubt work perfectly the whole time it is in their hands.

I have posted an update to the plugin that adds actions that can be set as part of an event to change the configuration settings of the EZFlora including the inhibit and resume commands.

Hopefully you can use these to actions work around the issues you are experiencing.
